The Palm Tanager is one of the most widespread birds from central America to southern Bolivia, Paraguay and Brazil. In Colombia it is found throughout the national territory up to 2100 m above sea level.
Yellow-bellied Seedeaters are common residents of grassland and agricultural areas from Costa Rica through to Brazil, although they are absent from much of the Amazon Basin. In Colombia is found throughout the Country except in drier regions north of the Andes and the Amazon.

The Black Phoebe, Sayornis nigricans, breeds from southwest Oregon and California through Central and South America.In Colombia it is found from 100 to 2800 m.a.s.l. in the three mountain ranges, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and in the Serranías de Perijá and la Macarena.
The Vermilion Flycatcher, Pyrocephalus rubinus is an unmistakable species because of the beautiful scarlet red color. Its name is a double reference to the red coloration of its plumage (pyro of fire, and cephalus, head, rubinus like ruby, the precious stone of deep red color).
