BLACK-BILLED THRUSH, TURDUS IGNOBILIS

The black-billed thrush is a bird in the genus Turdus native to the Amazon basin. The Black-billed Thrush, is one of the least colorful Colombian blackbirds. It is very common in man-occupied areas.

It is up to 2 800m. in the valleys of the Magdalena and Cauca rivers. They feed on nuts, fruits, seeds, insect larvae, beetles, and flies.

They create cup-shaped nests, usually with mud in bushes or trees. The females lay two blue and brown eggs.
