I want to invite you to travel with me to the mystical páramos of Colombia, unique ecosystems located in the tropics of the Americas.

Colombia is home to 66% of the páramos on the planet

They are found at over 3,000 meters above sea level and are the habitat of a great diversity of endemic flora and fauna, meaning species that exist nowhere else on Earth.

The Sacred Lagoons of El Dorado

This is my second documentary about the páramos of Colombia. Today, we will visit three mountains that protect sacred lagoons nestled among their peaks. These lagoons were ceremonial sites for our ancestral cultures.
