The Mission of San Miguel Archangel in California
The Mission of San Miguel Archangel is part of the historical monuments in California. In total, 21 missions were built by the Franciscan community when these lands were part of Mexico.

The missions were built to evangelize and group the indigenous people. As this is such a controversial topic, I will not go into it. I will simply make a photographic record of the mission.

The mission began to be built in 1797, but a fire destroyed it, and the new church was finished in 1806. Its interior part is the same from that time, with its windows and frescoes, but I could not enter because the mission has been closed since the beginning of the pandemic.

The photographs were taken from the outside, through the windows, the bars, the arches, and even above the walls.
