Going back home

Today, after three years of absence, I arrived in Colombia; I am so happy!

I will be traveling for almost three months on a trip I have been dreaming of doing for a long time. I will start in Medellin, where I was born; then, I will go to the coffee region.
The following week, I will go to my favorite place in the world, The Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, the highest coastal mountain in the world.

Then, I will travel to the northern part of South America, La Guajira. This region is the unknown jewel of Colombia; I will go through the desert, where there are no roads, look for the flamingos, visit ancient indigenous peoples, and go birding in an oasis.
I will stop writing here because I want you to be as surprised as I will be. I won’t have an internet connection for sure, but I will go back with many stories and pictures after a few weeks.
