Wild Life, San Luis National Wildlife Refuge, California

I entertained myself by photographing the tule elks and the migratory birds fluttering in the wetlands. The whole place vibrated with life.

Wild Flowers

I found flowers growing directly from the ground, without a plant, stems, or leaves. Others emerged from rocks, and their shoots crawled over the dry surface, covering it with colors.

The silhouettes of ducks swimming and fishing contrasted against the fantastic pink waters. In a nearby tree, there was a large nest, but it was so dark and backlit that I could only see its shape.
