Coming Home

By merely closing my eyes, the birds’ songs, the buzz of insects, and the whisper of the wind surged back, bringing forth memories I longed to capture and relive. I felt like coming home, not to the house’s walls where I had lived, but to the forests where the blue herons, swallows, woodpeckers, and kingfishers resided.
