Waterfalls in New York

I left the mountains of the West to visit some of the parks on the East Coast whose doors were closed due to Covid a year earlier. New York State hides many natural beauties, and although its name always recalls the bustling metropolis that never sleeps, its mountains jealously guard forests, rivers, waterfalls, and lakes.

Closing a Circle in Maryland

Reconnecting with the forests of Maryland that I walked for so many years brought on boundless emotions; they were so close to my heart that I knew every bend of the trails, where to find the blue herons, the cardinals, and the pileated woodpecker, I recognized the sound of the river, the scent of the earth, and the song of the cicadas. I knew I would leave again, but now, without the pain of the first time, I could always return to immerse myself in its beautiful nature.
