The Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta is one of the most beautiful places in Colombia. This unique region in the country’s northern Atlantic coast has several different climate zones, giving visitors the chance to enjoy its extraordinary ecosystems which are brimming with local and endemic species of fauna and flora.

Cloud forests are the most beautiful natural gardens in Colombia. They extend over the highest mountains of both the Andes, and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. These forests are permanently wrapped in a dense fog of tiny water drops that create a natural greenhouse effect, allowing the most amazing plants to grow.

Summer in Maryland is a wonderful time, the meadows and forests have an incredible abundance of tiny creatures that sometimes are invisible to our eyes.
Walking among them has been an incredible experience, since I have discovered many of their little secrets.

The last weeks of summer have such small changes, that many times we don't notice them.
There are slight variations as the days get shorter, the temperature starts to drop, and the sound of insects is no longer as loud.

Migration has inspired humans for the past 20,000 years and continues to amaze as to this day. Ancient people believed that the sudden disappearance of birds after summer, was because they had morphed into different animals that could endure the winter.
